What we’re about

No one marries anticipating they will eventually divorce. Yet divorce will be part of the journey for 50% of all couples – sometimes years down the road. No one is prepared for what lies ahead. Everyone needs support and understanding. But where do you turn? Who do you trust? How can you even figure that out when you question your own judgment?
Whether you are separated, divorced, or going through the breakup of a significant love relationship, this is one of life’s most painful experiences. Emotional swings include fear, sadness, hope, anger, guilt, betrayal, confusion, shame, despair, cynicism, bitterness, etc. A safe environment to help you process the changes and challenges in your family can facilitate your journey toward healing.
The Memphis Divorce Recovery Support Group provides just such a healing environment and emphasizes personal growth. Meetings are free and held at the Community Life Center on the campus of the Church of Christ at White Station (1068 Colonial Road, Memphis, TN 38117). We welcome people from all faith backgrounds and host conversations that honor various experiences.
This support group is suitable for anyone of any age, whether you’re new to the process or have been divorced for several years.
