Dive deep into the world of Stoic philosophy with the Memphis Stoics. Whether you are a seasoned philosophy enthusiast or simply curious about how ancient wisdom can guide modern living, join us for an afternoon of stimulating conversation, knowledge sharing, and camaraderie as we read and discuss the Enchiridion or Handbook, which summarizes the teachings of Stoic Philosopher Epictetus.
We will meet in the back room of Java Cabana 901 Coffee House.
Agenda:
1:30pm - 2:00pm: Open discussion, etc.
- Grab some coffee, tea, and snacks from Java Cabana 901
- Open Q&A and discussion about Stoicism
- Topic introduction
2:00pm - 3:30pm: Reading and discussion of the Enchiridion
- We'll read through section 1 of the Enchiridion together and discuss our practical insights.
