MARK YOUR CALENDARS for Sunday, March 23, 2025 @ 1 pm. Delta Ondine’s Blues Brunch series is delighted to welcome Stud Ford & Will Coppage to Hernando's Hide-A-Way in the featured set.

Hernando's is NOT in Hernando. It's at 3210 Old Hernando Road just off Brooks Road, in Memphis, near Graceland. Doors are open by 12:45.
Tickets $10 at the door or (w/extra fees) online.

Ondine is a Memphis-based alt-blues singer-songwriter who hosts and manages this increasingly popular brunch event at historic Hernando's Hide-A-Way. Ondine opens with an original alt-blues rock set at 1 pm, followed immediately by the day's featured act. Ondine works to bring in a diverse array of local and traveling artists, presenting world-class shows, in a venue that is relatively small and accessible.

Hitting the stage is a new duo from musical veterans, Stud Ford (drums) and Will Coppage (guitar). Together they have created a sound that weaves the legacy of blues with deep grooves all the while crafting lyrics that blend real-life sincerity and anthem-like chants. In Ford and Coppage’s eyes, less is more to allow for their music to breathe and entwine with the crowd’s energy.

Stud Ford from Greenville, MS., is the grandson of legendary Delta-Blues artist T-Model Ford. Stud was raised in the Hill Country Blues tradition of Northern Mississippi, and often shared the stage with his grandfather. Stud has also toured with such names as; North Mississippi Allstars, Lightnin Malcolm, and Sean "Bad" Apple.

Will Coppage from Greenville, MS., cut his teeth in local bars alongside blues legends like T-Model Ford, Willie Foster, and Little Bill Wallace. He holds both a BFA and a MFA in writing, along with a strong publication resume of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and songwriting. In 2024, Coppage was listed as a pro songwriter at the annual Mississippi Songwriters Festival.

We may not be able to sit together, but it is easy to move around to visit. Prefer to be outside? There's a very nice enclosed patio just outside the bar area. You can still hear the music quite well via outdoor speakers.

Parking is plentiful. There is some in front of the building and plenty on either side.

Hernando’s has a full-service bar and hot lunch menu you can find here.
They have a very small staff, so please be patient. Orders for food and drink are taken at the bar, by the bartender (usually Laura), who (along with the cook and soundman) doubles as waitstaff. If you have any special needs for condiments etc., best to mention those when you order. You will be given a number for food that will be delivered to your table, but best to wait for your drink at the bar.

Tips (20%) for Hernando’s staff are included in your bill.

There is usually a tip bucket on the railing near the stage for musicians.
