Privilege, Patriarchy & Prejudice (in tech)

Patriarchy is the pervasive social model that concentrates power in the hands of men. Its impact is profound, especially in the way it increases the privilege of men, and the way it generates prejudice against women and other genders. In our male-dominated industry sector, we need to explore this further and understand the drivers.

In this session, we have two captivating speakers for you.

Matt Goldman is a systems architect, author, podcast host (Beer Driven Devs) & technology speaker. He will share his experiences learning about and engaging with the impact of privilege, patriarchy & prejudice and how he sees them playing out in the technology sector.

Iain Schmidt is the founder of "For Alex and Sam". He is a professional coach and a proactive partner with all genders to improve gender equality within organisations. He'll share his insights from years of working to create change in organisations across various industries.

As well as the great insights to be gained from these speakers, Iain will also facilitate discussion and conversation at the meetup to help you identify and drive positive change in your organisations.
