The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence poses a critical challenge for the United States: scaling energy infrastructure to support AI data centers' immense power needs. In 2025, these facilities consume about 4% of national electricity, projected to reach 7-12% by 2028. A typical center uses as much power as 100,000 households, with hyperscalers demanding 22% more grid power by year-end. This threatens blackouts, higher costs, and fossil fuel dependency amid grid strains.

The Men Solving Hard Problems group will tackle this through collaborative sessions for tech and business professionals. We will analyze constraints like grid bottlenecks and tripling demand, then brainstorm solutions: AI hardware efficiencies, nuclear/renewable acceleration, policy reforms, and partnerships. Workshops and panels will yield actionable strategies and alliances.
