Cosmic Mending! Space-inspired stitching

As part of the national public library 2019 summer reading program, "A Universe of Stories," Gretchen and Katie will lead a morning of space-inspired stitching. Gathering inspiration from the cosmos , we will make decorative patches to mend or embellish beloved garments and household textiles. We'll have some basic tools and materials for making patches and decorating, but please bring your own items to mend and embellish, as well as your own favorite scraps, threads and needles! This event is free and open to the public; appropriate for adults and older teens.
