Mendix is great for creating applications quickly. If an application isn't structured well, it won't be able to scale. One way to make sure your application is structured well is to use the twelve-factor methodology.

The twelve-factor app is a methodology for building software-as-a-service applications. It promotes the building and release of stable applications through a set of best practice guidelines aimed at facilitating the organic growth of a system and avoiding the cost of software erosion.

In this talk, Jean Botha will take us through 4 of the 12 factors and illustrate how he achieves the twelve-factor app in a practical demonstration of deploying his Mendix app on Docker.
