SPIE advanced inspection app: customer value, Mendix Native deep dive & roadmap

Join us for a dynamic Mendix meetup where we blend customer insights, Mendix Native expertise and Aiden's innovation that revolutionize inspection apps.

On June 11th, Aiden will host a meetup presenting a strong collaboration between customer, consultancy and Mendix. Aiden built an Advanced Inspection Module app for SPIE that optimizes the inspection process, ensuring an efficient and accurate way of working. During the development process Aiden faced challenges regarding the performance of Mendix Native. To counter the performance issues Aiden and Mendix worked on multiple solutions.

Presentation Details

1️⃣ Business case and added value for SPIE
Martijn Kaijser will show us the business case for the Advanced Inspection Module app build by Aiden. He will explain the complex processes and project approach. Next to that, Martijn will show us the value of the app that optimizes SPIE’s processes regarding inspections on equipment.

2️⃣ Technical deep dive
Marcel Groeneweg is the lead developer for the Advanced Inspection Module app and will demonstrate the challenges that he and his team faced during the development process. To cope with these challenges, Marcel intensified the collaboration with Mendix to optimize the performance on the native app. Marcel will give a lessons learned and technical analyses on this topic.

3️⃣ Mendix Native roadmap
Jonathan Diehl from Mendix will show us the Mendix Native roadmap for the coming period. We expect new features and upgrades to be presented.

👤 Martijn Kaijser
Martijn, Technical Specialist working at SPIE, has an extensive experience in managing periodic safety inspections of E&I equipment and ATEX compliance. Since October he also takes the role of Product Owner for the ‘Advanced Inspection Module’ app.

👤 Marcel Groeneweg
Marcel, expert consultant and MVP, has a proven track record within the Mendix community. With lots of experience in different environments, Marcel can quickly adapt to new situations. He likes to deep-dive into new technologies and explore possibilities.

👤 Jonathan Diehl
Jonathan, working for Mendix, is going to present the Mendix Native roadmap for the coming period. He started working for Mendix since 2021 as a Solution Architect. Since 2022 he fulfils the role of Product Manager, responsible for various aspects of the Mendix Modeler.
