Exercise walk in the heat!

Details

We'll commit to our fall walking schedule, meeting in the late morning and beginning at the dam. Bring a sun umbrella & cut down the heat by a lot!

Walking across coyote valley dam, and further into the forest of oaks, we'll get in 2 miles (of walking) minimum, 4 miles maximum.

Bring water, easily accessible on your fanny back, or sling, or backpack. Bring hiking poles for an extra workout of biceps and triceps. Hiking poles add stability, too, in this season of very dry slippery soil.

It could be hot! Most important is that we get on a exercise schedule for the school year. Reason I pick this time? I get out of teaching piano class at 10:30 at Mendocino College, which is half way from home to this trail. Some of us don't wake up so early, some of us are driving by at that time. We have had any where from 2 people to 12 people walking. All are welcome.

We have the habit of starting to walk at 11am. When you sign up we know to watch out for you. The past 10 years have been a wonderful accountability for keeping exercised!
