This week's storms still have the Russian river running high. Flow expected to be about 1400 cfs (@ usgs cloverdale), making the river swift, often turbulent and challenging. Launch kayaks at Comminsky Station Road, about 5 miles north of Cloverdale. Meet at Cloverdale River Park north Cloverdale. This is about a 5 mile river run. Water being swift makes the moving time on river about 2 hours. Cloudy, cold weather forecast, water is chilly.

What to Bring: Boat, Paddle, safety Gear, PFD (must be worn while on the water), helmet, drinking water, snacks, dry change of clothes in your car for after the paddle. Weather forecast to be mid 50's to 60. Drysuit or Wetsuit required as air & water temps will be chilly. Paddlers should dress adequately for any unintentional swims.

This section of the river is moderately difficult but not too dangerous for the experienced paddler, scenic but not remote, easily accessible but not crowded. There are many technical class II+ rapids, rocks & strainers to navigate along the way.

Parking / Launch Fees/ parking fee @ Cloverdale river park.
