Let's walk the Shakota trail.

This is a round-trip 4-5 mile hike. There is rarely a level stretch of trail. It goes up hill and down hill and is a excellent workout! Most in the group hike about 2 1/2 miles per hour. I hike about 2mph.

Hiking sticks are recommended, as is bringing a quart of water for the trail. It can be a hot trail, although most of it is in the shade of the oaks. Poison Oak lines the trail. Wear long pants, if susceptible, and wash them when you get home.
