Paddle Rodman Slough, on Clearlake
Details
Please read description before making RSVP.
This flat-water paddle destination is a bird sanctuary, home to an abundance of water fowl, such as a grebes, osprey, eagles, pelicans and egrets. Let's enjoy being social while on the water together. Would be nice to have binoculars for bird watching. We'll enjoy paddling this relatively shallow appendage of Clear Lake while water is at a good level. We'll paddle an hour or so, snack break, then paddle back before afternoon breeze.
Essentials for kayaking: A boat (kayak or canoe), paddle, life jacket (pfd), drinking water and a snack, preferably in a dry bag. Wear sandals or water shoes of some kind, as stepping in cool water is part of the experience. Please bring sun protection - hat, long sleeves, sun glasses. Put-in is close to parking.
