Walk in the Woods

Hi Meetup Friends,
I’m planning a morning visit to Montgomery Woods and would love some company. As a child in the ’60s, I spent many exploratory hours playing in the creek there, and it's been over a year since I've visited.

I recently got a new mini movie camera and want to spend some quiet time in the forest practicing with its features. The plan is to walk the main grove loop trail, check out the trail work that’s been done, avoid the poison oak, and enjoy the peaceful redwoods.

This is tick and rattlesnake country, so please dress and prepare accordingly. I’ll be bringing a snack, some favorite guidebooks, and maybe a backpack chair or ground cloth for sitting awhile in the woods.
I’ll be in the parking lot at 9:00 a.m. and will wait a bit before heading out.
