⚽️ Menifee Pick-Up Soccer Group – Everyone Welcome! ⚽️
Hey everyone! I’m starting a tentative pick-up soccer group here in Menifee — ideally at Quartz Ranch Park, but I’m open to other parks if you have suggestions.
The goal is to bring people together to play, improve, and enjoy the game while keeping things positive and organized.

🏃♂️ What to Bring
• One white and one black shirt (if not, red and blue work too).
No bibs or pennies for now, so please bring both colors.
• Water and your own soccer ball (size 5) if possible.
• Any portable goals or cones you have!
• Cones, traffic cones, or even markers
work fine for goals and corners.
• Portable or pop-up goals are perfect if someone can bring them.
• Footwear: Natural grass field — please no metal studs or anything that could injure you or others.
• Any other gear you like: shin guards, ankle support, short or long socks — whatever makes you comfortable.

⚽ Game Format
• Small-sided games: 5v5, 6v6, or 7v7, depending on turnout.
• Always have a goalie, but they can only use their hands within about 6 yards.
• Goalie rotation: Switch after each goal against, or after 2–3 goals (your team decides).
• If we have enough players, we’ll switch teams every 20–40 minutes to mix it up and keep things balanced.
• Smaller goals and smaller fields = more touches, more fun, more creativity.
We can play weekdays or weekends, depending on who’s available — maybe just Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays to start.

🌱 Field Care & Safety
This is natural grass, so let’s take care of it.
• No metal studs, no unnecessary sliding or rough play.
• No dangerous tackles, elbows, or shoves.
• Use your body smartly — shield, press, parry — but remember this isn’t boxing.

We’re here to enjoy the game and each other.
• Nicknames might be given — don’t take them personally, it’s all in good fun.
• Be kind, respectful, and supportive.
• Without teammates, we can’t play — so treat them like family.
• Emotions are part of the game — anger, frustration, jealousy — it’s okay to feel them.
Just recognize it and let it pass. Don’t take it out on anyone else.
This is about playing with heart, love, and respect for yourself, your teammates, and the game.
