Film Screening: Shock Treatment (The RHPS Sequel!)

After-hours event! Join us as we celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” by screening “Shock Treatment,” the little-known sequel!

In this 1981 musical follow-up to Rocky Horror, the characters we remember are played by different actors; the actors we remember play different characters; and rather than poking fun at the horror genre, the target of the satire is television.

In fact, this seems like a very prescient look at the rough-and-tumble world of reality TV.

Rated PG. That’s a 1981 PG; would be a PG-13 today. In the pursuit of satire, some sensitive content and/or problematic themes could induce a gasp.
