How to Draw Manga Moods

For participants ages 8-Adult: Learn how to draw faces that show different moods and emotions, using the unique visual language of Japanese comics or manga.
Try your hand at some fun and simple techniques to draw faces that are happy, mad, surprised, determined, and much more. You’ll see how to use these tips as a first step to draw your own comics stories, and how to use manga to find more inspiration.
Scheduled Artist:
Cindy Duong is a Peninsula-based illustrator and designer who has been drawing since she could first hold a crayon. Since 2010, she has been selling her art through her small business Sakuradragon, “a little stationery shop for journal enthusiasts, art makers, and people who like to go on adventures to imaginary places.” Cindy is also creator of the young adult webtoon “Tiny RPG Universe.”
