As men, we learn early on to prioritize work and taking care of others over our own personal needs.
And this has its impact. Men's mental health and well-being are often under-represented in discussions around psychology, therapy, and coaching.
The statistics speak for themselves:
- Men are 50% less likely to be diagnosed with depression, often due to under-reporting.
- We are nearly four times more likely to die by suicide.
- A staggering 40% of men have never talked to anyone about their mental health.
Simply put, this is the message society often sends us:
"If you ever find yourself in a difficult position—divorced, unemployed, alone… you have to figure it all out yourself."
