What we’re about
So... What's going on here?
Well, the short answer is that this is a weekly virtual group for men, and is structured as a peer support and therapeutic / processing group facilitated by a licensed psychotherapist.
Sure Paul. But what exactly does that even mean??
Ok, so in terms of it's purpose, this is a group of guys finding an open, supportive community of men working on similar issues. Most often these include:
- Problems with depression and anxiety, from pessimism to grief to panic disorders
- Relationship problems with partners, family, friends, and work
- Difficulty understanding and discussing emotions
- Controlling anger and exploring the underlying issues that cause it
- Shame, embarrassment and guilt about things we've done in our past
- Painful and traumatic experiences, whether growing up or recently
- Developing a sense of identity, purpose, and figuring out our values
