In 1940s France, Jean Chevalin, a ridiculous, yet profoundly human character, deserts the army. In a desperate bid for survival, he concocts a misguided plan to pretend to be Jewish that throws his family into the heart of the Resistance and into a chaotic journey. Beyond the humor, Lucky Star dismantles prejudices through the eyes of a man confronted with the absurdity of his own beliefs.
