Details

More therapists are working with autistic and neurodivergent adults, including clients who may be late-diagnosed, misunderstood, or actively rethinking identity in adulthood. As part of our Specialist Sessions series, we are planning a session centered on autism and neurodiversity themes in clinical work.

What We'll Explore

  • Autism and neurodiversity themes
  • Late-diagnosis experiences and identity questions that can surface in treatment
  • If there is a specific area you are interested in, please feel free to comment or message our organizers with a suggestion

Who This Is For

Licensed and pre-licensed mental health therapists who want to better support autistic and neurodivergent adults in clinical practice.

Format & Feel

  • Grounded, practical, and accessible for clinicians who want better understanding without needing to become specialists overnight
  • We will share final speaker details once they are confirmed
  • Session length: 1 hour
  • Informational only, not supervision or case consultation
  • Cameras optional
  • Replay available for all RSVPs

Hosted by WA Mental Health Community, a gathering space for Washington mental health professionals to connect, learn, and support one another. We are connected with the Washington Mental Health Resource listserv for WA-licensed and pre-licensed clinicians. Join the listserv at wamentalhealthresource.com.
