What we're about

#mentalhealthartists is for anyone exploring how to experience and consciously work towards better mental health.

Our manifesto is:
"Good mental health is an art built on the habit of catching and appreciating very ordinary little moments. Let's make some ordinary moments together."

Every Thursday lunchtime we get together and create special moments out of ordinary things using impro, ball games, song, documenting, photos, film. We have a lot of fun.

Led by Hannah Chamberlain, mental health activist of Mental Snapp and Alan Bordeville, peer therapist of Bordeville Consulting.

Join us in a playful approach to mental health guided by this manifesto: "Good mental health is an art built on the habit of catching and appreciating very ordinary little moments. Let's make some ordinary moments together." Expect games, improv, a bit of song and a lot of laughter as we check in with our feelings, do some exercises and take some time out of our weeks for positive mental health. Let's make those ordinary moments. Led by Hannah Chamberlain of Mental Snapp, mental health campaigner, entrepreneur and peer, and Alan Bordeville of Bordeville Consulting, psychologist, peer and acting coach. 12.30 Arrive, check in. Warm up 12.40 What am I working on? Group discussion. 12.50 Exercise with props, mindfulness and a chance to journal what we're learning. 1.15 A bit of a song 1.20 How was that? Wrap up. 1.30 End. Bring water, and make sure you've had a snack beforehand, we don't want hungry tummies at lunchtime distracting you... and save your urge to bring coffee or tea, just come ready to dive into a really friendly and encouraging group.
