Personal Branding Workshop
Details
“Everyone has a personal brand — by design or by default.”
– Lida Citroën
About this Event
For August, we're excited to have Lindsay Kelsey speaking to us about the value of creating a personal brand. Participants will be provided with a worksheet to create their own personal brand during the meetup.
About the Workshop
When you hear the phrase "personal branding" your mind probably jumps to hashtags and instagram pages with a cohesive color palette. Mine did too! However-- this talk is not about social media.
Our professional lives are often made up of small, finite interactions. A 1:1 with our boss, a 10 minute conversation with someone at a meetup, a 1 hour interview. This workshop is focused around finding the right brand to represent ourselves in these finite interactions.
We'll also discuss how to leverage all of our experiences in building our brand. Whether you've been in the tech industry for a while, or have a non-traditional background with experience in other industries, or even a hobby that you really enjoy -- we can draw on these experiences to strengthen our personal brand.
Participants will have time during the meetup to fill out a worksheet to get started on thinking about their own personal brand.
