Details
Hike guided by Mariposa Trails (local non-profit)
- Trailhead is in Yosemite N.P., 10-minutes from Wawona.
- Hike begins at 930AM from the trailhead; plan to arrive earlier to account for traffic, etc. Check travel time to assure arrival in time.
- A detailed description of the trail and trailhead location can be found on AllTrails or The Hiking Project
- Start and End times are at the trailhead.
- 7-mile round trip with 2,000 feet of elevation gain/loss.
- Dogs not allowed.
- Mixed forest of pine and oak, in the 2018 Ferguson Fire scar. Guide will talk about local ecology and cultural history.
- Destination is Bishop Creek Campground, a dispersed campsite.
- Dress in layers.
- Bring a day-pack with water, food, space for clothing, etc.
