An evening for nonbinary people and women to work on our varied projects, and learn from each other.

NEW LOCATION - check the address!

MergeSort aims to be New York City's first feminist hackerspace. We want to be a place where women and non-binary people can make things, learn, and work on projects without fear or intimidation. Bring a project that you want to work on, if you have one - if not, come to see what other people are interested in doing and making! Software, knitting, papercraft, vidding, zinemaking, sewing, hardware, etc. are all welcome. We'll be providing some light dinner (a make-your-own-taco bar (with corn tortillas), and it'll be here by 6:30pm).

Thanks to Postlight for offering this venue for our event!

Accessibility: The venue has an elevator, and gendered ADA-accessible single-stall restrooms.

In order to enter the Postlight building after hours, visitors may need to show a photo ID to the building security desk. (We do NOT need to put them on a guest list ahead of time.) The guard will note the person's name, the time, and whom they're visiting. Please contact the organizers ahead of time if this will be an issue for you, and please text or call an organizer at (929) 255-4578 if you have any trouble at the security desk.

Note: We are a space for nonbinary people and women (trans and gender nonconforming inclusive). If you identify as male please get in contact with the organizers before showing up.
