Tour of Idaho Power Company, Amity Distribution Center / Planned Battery Project

The Idaho Power Company Amity Distribution Center is a facility in Boise, Idaho used for distributing electrical power to customers, particularly during peak demand hours. It was completed in October 2023 and can power 70,000 homes for four hours during peak demand. The center is located on the existing Boise Bench Substation property.

The Distribution Center includes interior warehouse storage, business office spaces, training room, break room, and support spaces for the primary use areas.

The same site will soon be built out for the Boise Bench Substation Battery Project (placing batteries on 10 acres).
