Woodcutters trail, Newlands Forest

Enjoy a hike through Newlands Forest to Wood Cutters trail. It’s an up hill start before reaching this trail. From then on a pleasant walk submerged within the forest canopy. Areas are uneven with rocky outcrops in places.

Bring water, snacks, hat, light jacket.

Rain cancels hike.

R40 guest fee if Not a Meridian Hiking Club Member. Exact fee amount would be appreciated.

Hike starts on time. Please arrive 15 min before hand to sign in.

Grading of hike in accordance with Meridian’s grading system: 2BCc
2 - Length 6 to 10km
B - Gradient medium
C - Gradient with some steepness in areas
c - Physically active person
