*NB THIS VENUE HAS AN OBSTRUSIVE SPOTLIGHT, which the management have struggled to turn off: I cannot guarantee it CAN/WILL be turned off. It wanders across our space; and could be triggering with someone with epilepsy or similar(it is NOT a strobe light, but it moves fast and is fairly obtrusive); please bear this in mind*

I am using this venue because it is the only available Lgbtq-run one, its in the village, and is safe; I take on board the access issues(but venues for three other groups are FULLY accessible, including full wheelchair accessibility).

If anyone has any concerns re the above, PLEASE MESSAGE ME *PRIVATELY* ON HERE.

Our Socials are LIGHTLY hosted(with the small facilitated welcome/intro meet(s) for first-timers); they are SOCIAL groups, plus an initial support for newcomers!.

An event in the Liverpool Gay Village.

A DRINKS NIGHT (no food available; but alcohol, soft and hot drinks).
Hot drinks ALL evening. Bar till 11 pm.

NB THE (downstairs bar of) THIS VENUE(the "Navy Bar") HAS -HITHERTO- BEEN MAINLY ASSOCIATED WITH MALE-IDENTIFYING CLIENTELE;
however, the new Social Space we are meeting in ("Pride Coffee") is MIXED, across the whole of the rainbow umbrella:)
It has an LGBTQ community feel:)

NB THERE IS A PICTURE IN THE PHOTOS SECTION OF THE FULL OUTSIDE OF THIS VENUE. WE MEET UP THE (about 10) STAIRS(as pictured in the headline picture on this page). This entrance is under/to the left of the "Navy Bar" signage.

It is booked for OUR USE ONLY.

*HOWEVER, THERE IS NO DISABLED ACCESS; there are about 10 steps upto the space from ground level; and 3/4 steps to the seating booths (but plenty of other, accessible seating available!).*

You pay, for all items individually,(no tabs!)at the bar, directly, per person.NO group bills!
The (recommended)minimum spend is to make it worthwhile for the venue to host us.Any money, therefore, goes direct to the venue, not to our group!

NEWCOMERS; AND WELCOME/INTRODUCTION MEETS:
If you are new,TRY NOT TO BE TOO NERVOUS:).

We shall relax you and greet you and get you settled in a newcomers' mini-meet, to start the evening.

Steve(Organiser) will be seated outside the venue at the bottom of the steps to our (upstairs) part of venue; he will greet you, and introduce you to a host for the WELCOME meet:)

If it is raining, Steve will be sat at the top of the stairs (which are pictured in the headline picture at the top of this post); again, he will introduce you to a Host, to take you to the Welcome Meet for first-timers.

*If you have just come out as lgbtq, or have not been to an lgbtq event before, or to this particular group, or our new to Merseyside,we strongly recommend this introduction/welcome meet:)*

FIRST INTRODUCTION/WELCOME MEET, at 6.30;so you gently relax into the evening; and chat to a smaller group of people, and share interests:)
The intro meet is not obligatory; but strongly recommended!
