Are World Events Collective Spiritual Lessons?

World events, no matter how chaotic, may be threads in a larger spiritual tapestry—challenging us, awakening us, and guiding humanity toward greater consciousness and unity. What are some of humanity's more urgent lessons? How, if at all, might recent or major events of the past, e.g. the speedy election of a Pope, facilitate collective spiritual growth? The notion that the universe has a purpose is hardly wishful thinking, by the way. • Physicist David Bohm – His implicate order theory suggests that visible events may unfold from deeper, interconnected meaning structures.
• Psychologist Carl Jung – Saw collective events like wars and upheavals as manifestations of the collective unconscious seeking integration and balance.
• Pioneer transpersonal psychologist/psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli – Believed that suffering and global trials can activate the transpersonal will, aligning individual and collective growth with a greater spiritual plan.
