Are we God yet?! Becoming God.
Details
"There is an eternal cry in the world: God is beseeching man.
Some are startled; others remain deaf." --- Abraham Joshua Heschel
By creating beings with genuine free will, God invites dynamic, loving, and interactive relationships. In a relational universe, reality is defined and realized by connectedness, interactions, and interdependence, the essence of all things— people, particles, or systems - All That Is, "seen and unseen" - experienced solely through relationships, not by each's standalone properties. Yes, including the Divine!
Answering the Divine call, that gentle, non-coercive, and persuasive lure toward the best possible outcome open to us at every moment, is not merely us assisting God, but becoming God, as God acting to transform the world.
Understanding that the future is partially "open", and that God is dependent upon our actions and efforts to transform the world can be both profound and petrifying; for the weight of this responsibility is always a call to act. It is however often the case that we hope someone else will act instead of ourselves. The spiritual challenge is to not be passive when God actively cries for us to help in the world. This cry awaits our response through the deification of our deeds that raises us 'mere' humans to divine levels, the rank of Gods in the World, though of our actions. A great sage once queried, "Know you not that you are gods?" speciically to emphasize human responsibility, divine appointment, and the realization of spiritual potential.
Once you feel the call and persuasion, what then?!
