Evidence for Survival of Death: "O death, where is thy sting?!
Details
The prevailing theme and intention behind every religion at its origins is to understand and explain extraordinary experiences of nonphysical reality, particularly those events that invalidate common notions of death's finality.
Who or what, if anything, dies?
While possible causes behind many 'postmortem survival' cases are debatable, the simplest and only rational explanation for two especially impressive kinds of cases constitutes "best evidence of postmortem survival" through detailed information only knowable to and imparted by a 'deceased' person, which outweighs and precludes other attempts at explanations unreasonable or cripplingly complex.
Spirit Drop-ins: Runki wants his leg back! Oh, yes he does! (And vodka, as well, TYVM.) While repeatedly invading a trance medium in 1939, Runki described how in 1879 he lost his leg, gnawed off by wolves after he drowned during a drunken stupor, and where it would be found! Pure fiction, it would seem, until researchers meticulously reconstructed and confirmed this peculiar story from shreds of stray church, newspaper, and police notes, NOT however before finding the leg exactly where he said it would be, built into the wall of a house - unbeknownst even to the homeowner!
Reincarnation: From ages 2-7, James Leininger recollected his previous life and death as a WW II fighter pilot with such utterly astonishing detail that admits only one viable explanation: reincarnation, the soul's migration from one body and lifetime to another. This modern-day story must be heard to be believed! And even then.... It is as Eleanor Roosevelt once remarked, "You know, I don't think it would be any more unusual for me to show up in another life, than showing up in this one!"
