Gothenburg Startup Hack: The Warm Up

Welcome!

Findwise, Spotify and Studio Interact (http://studiointeract.se/teknik/meteor) invites for #gbgtechWeek (http://gbgtechweek.com) to a meetup with focus on getting started with Meteor! Together with Spotify and Gothenburg Startup Hack we will arrange a workshop and a smaller Hackathon during the evening with nice prizes!

Meteor (http://meteor.com) is becoming more and more popular thanks to it's advanced open source technology for real-time interfaces and apps. With all the latest tools and technologies for the web and mobile and a built-in package management system it isn't strange more and more people want to use Meteor. With a focus on better ways to build apps in both quicker and more useful ways; with most of the time great design has made Meteor to a popular technology for startups and online businesses.

The evening offers food, mingle, a workshop with an opportunity to get started with Meteor and discuss your technical challenges with Meteor experts. We will also host a hackathon with presentations by the end of the evening.

Agenda

• 1500 - Registration and mingle

Get the chance to talk to and work with experts from the Gothenburg Meteor community. We will also provide you with material to easily build your own app, for this we will try to replicate the features of the popular chat application Slack. You don't want to miss this!

• 1730 - Food, Intro to the hack

• 1800 - Start hacking!

• 2110 - Presentations – present what you hacked on!

Prices: We've got 3x (Urban Ears Plattan and 1 years premium subscription to Spotify and Meteor T-Shirts) for the most popular team or the top 3 people – which we will vote to decide (but ties and divisions of prices are up to the organizers to decide).

We therefore recommend teams consist of maximum 3 members.
