Worldwide Meteor Day is when developers and folks interested in Meteor all over the world come together across the globe to:
• See what amazing projects have been built with Meteor
• Meet awesome local Meteorites
• Bring a friend to the movement
• Get questions answered by Meteor experts
• Connect with other cities
Agenda:
6:30pm: Doors Open. Food, drinks and mingling.
7:00pm: Welcome. An introduction to MeteorJS.
7:10pm: Lightning Talks - Learn more about the possibilities of developing with MeteorJS.
• Ben Meyer from VoiceCode.io (http://voicecode.io/) will discuss how they re-built their voice recognition technology with Meteor.
• Adam Monsen from CSATS (http://www.csats.com) will demonstrate why VIM can be a great development environment for Meteor.
8:00pm: Q&A Live Stream with Meteor Core Developers. Bring your questions!
8:30pm: Show & Tell. See demonstrations of applications written in Meteor in action.
• QStack by GreenQloud (https://www.greenqloud.com/qstack/), a cloud infrastructure management solution.
• Orders by Savvy (http://savvyorders.com), a mobile application to find restaurants, order and pay for take-out and in-dining.
9:00pm: Q&A / Social / Hack time.
