Meteor South Bay 2: Hosting & Scaling

A big question in the community right now is: what do I do when I scale? Since only a few of us have faced these challenges there's not a lot of information. Let's get together and share what we know and look at what options exist. Are you building tarballs and uploading to Digital Ocean? Do you use Compose? What about AWS? Have you looked at Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform?

At Q42 we do a lot with Cloud Platform, so we worked with Google to put together a deployment script for running Meteor on Container Engine. The idea is that using this script, you should be able to deploy your app quickly and then easily scale it on Google's infrastructure. I'd love to give you a demo of it!

Finally, Google have also offered to host the meetup at their CL2 building next to the Googleplex. Woohoo!
