Hi Peter,
This meetup is being held by the Google Developer Group in NY. Although the topic of the talk is Meteor, it's not being organized through the Meteor group, so I don't have permissions to check any of that. It looks like they just closed the RSVP's.
However, I just read a comment on the wall where someone asked if the 120 person limit is strict, and the reply was no. My advice at this point would be to post a comment on the wall and hope for the best.
