Jaw Pain, Headaches & TMD: Connecting the Dots

A practical, workshop for patients and dental providers

Jaw pain, headaches, neck pain, and facial tension are often treated as separate problems— yet they frequently stem from the same underlying source. This workshop connects the dots between temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) and symptoms affecting the jaw, head, and neck, offering a clear, practical understanding of how TMJ dysfunction presents and why it is so often overlooked.

Attendees will learn how clenching, grinding, posture, and daily ergonomics contribute to persistent pain and dysfunction, and when TMD may be driving unresolved symptoms.

Designed for both patients and healthcare providers, this session is led by San Antonio’s leading Jaw & TMD specialist, Melissa Stack, PT, and highlights the critical role of physical therapy in restoring function, relieving pain, and improving long-term quality of life.

Walk Away Knowing How To…
• Recognize the key signs and symptoms of TMD and when jaw dysfunction may be contributing to headaches, neck pain, or facial pain
• Identify contributing habits and patterns—including clenching, grinding, posture, and daily ergonomics—that perpetuate symptoms
• Understand when referral or therapeutic intervention is appropriate, and how physical therapy supports lasting relief and functional recovery
• Apply practical next steps for improved jaw awareness, care, and interdisciplinary support—for yourself or your patients
