Lesesalon – A Sunday Morning of Reading Together

Bring the book you’re reading right now, in whatever language, and spend a slow Sunday morning with other readers at Metis Books & Café.
Lesesalon is our reading salon: first we read together in calm, cosy silence, then we open up the conversation. What are you reading? Why did you pick it up, and is it keeping you hooked? Bruno and Dario, who run Metis, get the conversation going, and you’ll leave with new titles on your list, new authors to discover and new people to share them with.
German, English, Italian, Spanish, French, Catalan or any other language: here everyone reads in their own.
How it works
🕚 11:00 – Doors open. Find your spot, order a coffee and settle in (you can start reading right away)
📖 11:30–13:00 – Reading time: one and a half hours of quiet, shared reading
💬 From 13:00 – Sobremesa: we talk about what we’re reading, swap recommendations and get to know each other
Good to know
☕ Brunch, specialty coffee and matcha are served all morning, with plant-based milks for most drinks and vegan options both sweet and savoury
🍰 Sundays only: our homemade tiramisù made with cold brew, in limited portions
📚 Bring your own book, or pick one from our shelves in six languages
