Cochran Mills Park (NOT SHOALS!) Yellow trail

Cloudy w/19% precipitation in the zip code. This hike is near Palmetto so don't get it confused with similar named trails.
There is a parking fee kiosk, however, my last visit it was broken - only annual fees were listed on website.
Join me for this challenge of a hike near Palmetto! This trail is rated as easy-moderate mostly for how long it is: 8-9 miles. FYI most of our hikes have ended up 5-7 miles so YOU can absolutely do this!!! The terrain is not intense... just long. Bring comfy shoes and poles are encouraged w/bad knees. I have not done this trail but have done other trails at the same trailhead.
We will plan for a short break so pack snacks or a lunch to this one! We will take it slow and this should run a little over 3 hours; meaning end time is an estimate.
Dress in layers if you get early am chills. Bring plenty of water to this hike. Shoes or hiking footwear w/good tread encouraged. Not sure about dogs on this trail.
