Join us for a fun and meaningful day of connection and community at beautiful Belle Isle Park — Detroit’s own island getaway!
Whether you're looking to meet new friends, share your story, or just hang out in a welcoming space with other adopted people, this is the perfect chance to build our local adoptee community while enjoying everything Belle Isle has to offer.
About Belle Isle
Known as the "Jewel of Detroit," this 982-acre island park is packed with stunning views, historic sites, and fun attractions like:
- 🐠 Belle Isle Aquarium (open 10–4)
- 🌿 Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory (open 10–5)
- 🐾 Belle Isle Nature Center (open 10–5)
- 🚢 Dossin Great Lakes Museum (open 10–5)
- 💦 James Scott Memorial Fountain (under renovation but still a scenic spot!)
Enjoy amazing riverfront views, watch freighters pass, or just relax in one of the many picnic areas. Bonus: local food trucks are on-site this summer — grab a bite and hang out!
Admission:
- MI residents: $14/year Recreation Passport
- Non-residents: $11/day pass
