Join us as we celebrate three years of adoptee-led advocacy in Michigan and look ahead to what comes next.
This statewide Zoom gathering is an opportunity for Michigan adoptees to connect, ask questions, share ideas, and help shape the future of adoptee advocacy in our state. We’ll talk about our mission, our legislative priorities for 2027, new opportunities to get involved, and some exciting changes and initiatives we’re working on as AAOM grows.
Whether you’re new to our community or you’ve been with us from the beginning, you have a place in this conversation.

## We need you!

AAOM is grassroots, volunteer-run, and member-led. There is no paid staff behind the scenes making this happen. Every part of this work depends on people stepping forward, and it cannot be carried without volunteers willing to step up and do so. If you want a strong adoptee organization in Michigan that reflects what adoptees actually need and want, step forward and help make it happen.
We are looking for adoptees interested in taking on leadership and organizational roles as we prepare for 2027, including:
Legislative Advocacy
Community and Social events
Education and Outreach
Communications and Social Media
Membership and Volunteer Coordination
Fundraising and Organizational Development
Other roles based on your skills and interests
We want to hear what other roles you are looking for based on your skills and interests that you would like to contribute.

You don’t have to know everything or have advocacy experience. We need people who are willing to show up, contribute their skills, bring ideas, and help build something that belongs to all of us.
When you register, tell us what you’re looking for, what you’re interested in, what skills you bring, and how you see yourself being involved.
Come celebrate what we’ve built together, hear what we have planned, and help decide where we go from here.
