Wade Boggs Type Thing

Immortalized in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 10 Episode 1 and inspired by a legendary drinking feat where the baseball player allegedly drank 73 beers on a cross-country flight from Boston to LA. While we don't currently have a suitable aircraft we have devised a tribute that we can do right here on the ground in Metro Detroit.

If you'd like to participate and become part of the lore simply buy/wear a cheap t-shirt that's a light enough color to mark with a black sharpie and bring as many beers, hard ciders, or hard seltzers as you can drink (that could be just a six pack, or a lot more). When you arrive check in with our official Commissioner who will be wearing a badge. Whenever you finish a beer or two bring the empties to her and she'll mark them off on your shirt. No cheating, be respectful, be safe, feel free to crash, do not drive after!

This is during a much larger Metro Detroit Game Night event so there will be plenty of other people and activities available including drinking games, board games, and video games. While it's unlikely anyone is making it to 74 drinks (or at least not with an attitude like that) in the time allotted as Charlie might say the point is just to drink and hang out / have fun with it (and take some group photos) - not to get sick or cause problems or drive drunk.

Please park on the nearby side street to the Southeast called Irval Drive. No parking on the grass. Feel free to use the left side of the driveway *temporarily* to drop things off. When you arrive before you start drinking check in with the Commissioner who will be wearing a badge.
