## Metro Detroit Recreational Pick-Up Basketball
Welcome to a community for anyone looking to play fun, respectful pick-up basketball—indoors or outdoors—across Metro Detroit. No league commitments, no pricey gym memberships—just the game.
### Who Can Join
Players of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome, as long as you have basic basketball ability. We value sportsmanship and camaraderie:
- No hard fouls, trash talk, or excessive showboating
- Physical play is fine within reason—let’s avoid injuries that may cause people to miss work or school
### Game Format
- Most games are full-court 5-on-5
- If fewer than 10 players show up (rare), we adjust accordingly
- Games are short to allow quick rotation
- Sign-ups are limited, but waitlists often move—players frequently drop out last-minute
### 🏀 Outdoor Games (May–September)
- Saturdays, 10 AM–12 PM
- Rotating courts across Metro Detroit: Lawson Park (Royal Oak), Griffin Park (Canton), Butzel Family Center (Detroit), and others
- Free to play
### 🏀 Indoor Games – Saturday Mornings (Winter)
- Saturdays, 10 AM–12 PM
- Gym in Livonia
- $8 per player
### 🏀 Indoor Games – Weeknights (Year-Round)
- Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7 PM–9 PM
- Gyms in Dearborn
- $10–$12 per player
