AI/ML, Optimization and Simulation in Supply Chain Management

We have an interesting upcoming event on "AI and ML in supply chain" - a very pertinent topic with the current shortages and bottlenecks worldwide! (We will continue to host this event online due to the surge in covid cases in the area)

Abstract: The topic of the supply chain has received so much attention and awareness recently. Supply Chain challenges are generally combinations of analytics, process, and technology. This talk mainly focuses on Supply Chain analytics. First, we will cover some classic supply chain problems and their solutions using predictive analysis, optimization, and simulation. Next, we will talk about the new trends in Supply Chain analytics, such as, using AI/ML in forecasting, combining AI/ML and optimization in planning, and balancing demand and supply with AI/ML and simulation. In the end, we will discuss new emerging challenges.

Speaker Bio:
H. Crystal Wang is a Data Science Manager at Accenture - Applied Intelligence. She leads teams of data scientists to solve challenging supply chain problems using AI/ML, optimization, and simulation. Crystal received a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University. Before joining Accenture, Crystal worked at Ford Motor Company for seven years. She led the Ford Mobility Routing team and Supply Chain complexity team. In addition, she was a recipient of a 2-million Department of Energy grant on the last-mile solution and the author of internal supply chain POV papers.
