It can be difficult to just get started and make an idea a reality. Anthony will share a few quick tips and methods for how to execute on your idea and ways to better hold yourself accountable. Let's stop dreaming and start doing.

Anthony Montalbano is the cofounder of AMBR Detroit. He’s led multiple events in Detroit (previously WordCamp Detroit for 3 years) as well as spoke at many other tech/startup related events. He’s taught development courses at Grand Circus, startup courses for Windsor Small Business Centre and helped mentor startup companies through Bizdom. Anthony won the 2014 Spirit of Entrepreneurship award from MiQuest.

Talk #3 - Task Management with Trello

Talk #4 - Pomodoro-ish

Recently adapted Pomodoro method into my workflow. After using it for a couple weeks, I realized the traditional approach didn’t work with my current job & day-to-day flow. I will be going over the traditional approach of Pomodoro, and how i adapted it into something that works with my day-to-day flow.

Currently working at AMBR Detroit, for almost 2 years now, as a full stack developer. Majority of my recent experience is in using WordPress as a framework to build powerful websites and applications.

Parking and Venue information

Grand Circus is located in the Broderick Tower (http://www.brodericktower.com/), and you enter from the Woodward-facing doors.

Once inside, go to the end of the hall, and take the elevator to the fourth floor. Turn left when you get off the elevator, then turn right and look for the signs directing you to the room.

Parking is available at the Detroit Opera House parking garage, located on Broadway. Parking is $10 (unless there's a special event). There's also limited free street parking on the streets.

The Detroit Opera House parking garage is a short walk up Broadway and around the corner from the Grand Circus space. Here's parking information from the Broderick Tower website (PDF) (https://www.grandcircus.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/PARKING.pdf).

Note: with the M-1 rail construction downtown, it will be challenging to maneuver downtown streets and find street parking. Stay current on the construction by visiting the M-1 construction page (http://m-1rail.com/construction/).

Please note that if there are less than 10 people registered, we'll cancel event and notify everyone by Sunday before meetup.

Everyone wanting to attend the meetup must register online. No walk-ins.
