What we’re about
Who We Are:
We are a Metro East based, queer inclusive safe space for women, nonbinary individuals, and non-cisgender men to connect, support one another, and build community.
To maintain this focus, we kindly ask that only individuals who align with this intention join.
What We Do:
We have both a Fiction and a Non-Fiction Book Club, and we are open to book suggestions!
Some of our organizers focus on planning both light walks and hiking events.
We do crafting events, go to coffee shops, events at local restaurants and bars, and local markets, and have game nights!
Member Fees:
In an attempt to keep our group here on Meetup--and findable/open to new members--and after serious consideration, we will have to be starting to charge Member Fees.
We do have a 60 day free trial period where you are welcome to come to events, try out our group, and decide if the member fee is worth it to you. This applies to both current members and people applying to be members of this group.
We hope that starting member fees will make this group more sustainable to run, and we hope that both new and old members will join us at events!
Current fees are starting at $15 annually, and are subject to change, depending on how many people decide to stay with us or to join, which will determine if we have enough to cover the subscription costs. The more people who join, the lower we are able to make the membership fees, in future.
If we are not able to reach our goals, we may move our group to Discord.

If there is something you want to do, feel free to drop it--along with book suggestions--in our discord to see if there's anyone else who'd like to join you! If there's enough interest, we can make an event of it, but feel free to use our discord to find others to hang out with outside of meetup, as well!
**If you are interested in taking on a leadership role in this group--ie: 1) have fun ideas for events and are interested in organizing those ideas into an actual event and 2) have attended more than 5 past events--please, reach out to Mar! (Preferably via Discord, but you could also reach out via the 'Message' link under the 'Organizers' section of this group.)
