Building Communication Applications with the Lync APIs

Details
Microsoft Lync has been gaining market share at a fast pace, but you may not be aware that it has an extensive .NET API platform that is one of its most distinctive and powerful features. This presentation will show you what's possible with the Lync APIs. We'll cover the basics of how to extend the Lync client with custom UI elements and context data, how to build Lync features like presence, video, and screen sharing into existing applications, and how to create new Lync services such as instant messaging bots, auto-attendants, or real-time alerting applications.
Michael Greenlee is the Lead Unified Communications Architect at Clarity Consulting, where he specializes in building products and custom solutions for Microsoft Lync. Michael has been working with the Lync (and previously Office Communications Server) APIs for most of the past five years. He has a blog that focuses on Lync development, and is a co-author of Professional Unified Communications Development with Microsoft Lync Server 2010.
