In this continuation of our event series “What About Democracy? Make Your Voices Heard,” experts will discuss the impact of protest movements in the USA and Germany. They will compare the effects of local protest movements and their influence on general political developments in both countries.
The event will include two short presentations, followed by a discussion moderated by Arthur Landwehr.
Our guests are political scientist Dr. Andrew B. Denison, who will contribute the US perspective, and Dr. Nina-Kathrin Wienkoop, who will examine developments in Germany.
The aim of the evening is to explore similarities and differences in political engagement in both societies and to investigate the significance of protests for democratic processes and the formation of political opinion.
