Starting from the end of the Tramlink line at New Addington, we’ll head south through a series of woods, then join the Vanguard Way and into the North Downs. After a pause for lunch we’ll head west following woodland and hills, then north over Farthing Downs to end in Coulsdon where refreshments and transport are available.
Bring a packed lunch, torch recommended as it might be getting dark for the last bit.
Travel: Catch tram to New Addington, for most people this will be from East Croydon station (main exit, first tram platform you come to). Walk will wait for the first tram departing East Croydon after 0945 (suitable trains leave Victoria 0920, London Bridge 0921). Use contactless/oyster.
Grading: Strenuous.
