Beginning in Merstham and quickly hopping over the bridge to cross the M25, we explore the pretty farmland and countryside on the edge of south London, including passing Upper Gatton Wood and Banstead Wood, the latter of which is likely to have a beautiful floor of bluebells at this time of year.
Following an afternoon pub stop (drinks only), we pass through Oaks Park before entering Carshalton, where we finish with an optional stop at an excellent community-owned pub known for its broad range of ales and traditional ciders.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Travel: Take the 10:54 from London Blackfriars (11:00 London Bridge, 11:17 East Croydon), arrive Merstham at 11:33.

For an explanation of the gradings, please see the FAQ - please consider both the length and grade when choosing a walk.
