Beginning in Guildford, we deviate from the North Downs Way to explore the Chantry Wood, before climbing St Martha's Hill and exploring more forested areas around Albury Heath.

We stop for lunch in the beautiful, postcard-village of Shere, known for its attractive Church, ice cream shop, and tea rooms, before heading uphill to return to Guildford via the North Downs Way.

Bring a packed lunch. Optional craft pub at the end.

Travel: Take 10:29 from Waterloo (10:39 Clapham Junction), arrive Guildford 11:11.

Buy return to Guildford.
