Metropolitan Walkers is part of the Ramblers, Britain's walking charity. All welcome for 3 'taster' walks, after which please join the Ramblers - info on the Met Walkers website

In this walk, we venture into Ashdown Forest from the south. We will stop at the Airman's Grave, and wander through both sparse heathland and extensive woodland - the latter being the inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood in 'Winnie the Pooh'.

The walk features a number of climbs and will be held at a decent pace, but we will find time for a pub stop on route in the enchanting village of Fairwarp, which lies on the forest's edge.

Pub stop at the end in Crowborough (after a long climb!) Please bring a packed lunch.
